《爱玛:Emma(英文)》读后感100字
Written by Jane Austen,Emma, which was the fourth novel of Jane Austen who masterfully connected romantic sensibilities with the Augustan satire,is originally published in 1815.It is a book honored as a classic romantic comedy full of wit and irony. In this book,Jane Austen chiefly shaped a well-off young lady who regarded herself as an extraordinary matchmaker ,while she remains immune to the charms of the opposite sex.
It is universally acknowledged that Like father, like son.Mr.Woodhouse was so attached to Emma Woodhouse that his love is always with her.Undoubtedly,Emma was the apple of his eye. However ,this also leads to Emma to treat people around her with such an arrogant attitude occasionally. With intelligence and knowledge,Emma naturally regards herself as a leader in affection between boys and girls. With wealth and status ,Emma definitely attaches status and wealth much importance to peoples marriage. With beauty, passion and energy,Emma apparently makes match without giving up for various points. From my own perspective, family status does not perform such an important part in marriage, and what really matters is the two person themselves and their love.
Frankly speaking ,what Emma performed in this novel reflects the current social reality of the nineteenth century in Britain:The marriage that are most successful are arranged by the parents, friends, etc.Love marriages do not work out.Jane Austen successfully revealed this reality in the shape of an intelligent , independent, picturesque and elegant lady, Emma.
In my mind,Feminismmay be the core of this wonderful and meaningful novel. It is desperately urgent that women should have their say in their marriages. Both male and female ought to be equal to their marriage, and what is more important is that female,as an independent individual ,should evaluate herself correctly and foster feminism values. It also reminds those female in the 21th century that women are supposed to be placed equally as men because women are not less intelligent than men. Female does deserve to have the right to truly fulfill her obligation to the society. All in all, under no circumstances should we make our efforts to feminism that a harmonious-friendly society could be built.
Generally speaking ,what I mentioned above is my flash mind of Emma, which is only the tip of the iceberg of this excellent masterpiece. There are still many other aspects I do not dig out from Emma. In a word ,I have a desire to know more and learn more of Emma and from Emma. Therefore, Emma would deserve to my second reading,I supposed.By the way,I still get one chance to send out this e-book.
